RIMI Insurance Plans

Secure Travel’s RIMI Insurance offers two medical coverage plans Standard and Enhanced for visitors to Canada, super visa, work visa, new immigrants and returning Canadians. Both plans are available with and without coverage for pre-existing medical conditions. Enhanced plan is more comprehensive as compared to Standard plan. It offers more benefits in terms of hospitalization, prescription drugs coverage, dental coverage and out-of-pocket expenses than Standard plan. Following are the key benefits of choosing RIMI insurance plans:

  • Choose coverage from options ranging from $25,000 to $1Million. However for super visa insurance coverage starts from $100,000.
  • Monthly payment option available for $100,000 or more coverage for 1-year (365 days) plan.

  • Diverse range of deductibles, from as minimum as $0 to maximum $3,000. Flexibility in choosing the deductible can offer significant reductions in your premiums.
  • Both Standard and Enhanced plan offer coverage for stable pre-existing medical conditions (e.g., BP, heart, diabetes, cholesterol, lung and other conditions).
  • 100% refund in case of visa denial. Visa denail letter is required before the insurance start state to process refund.
  • Easy early return refund available even with the claims

Laboratory tests & diagnostic services

  • Lab tests and x-rays when related to the medical emergency.
  • Tests such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cardiac catheterization, computerized axial tomography (CAT) scans, digital x-rays, sonograms or ultrasounds and biopsies are covered only if approved in advance by MSH Assistance company.

  • Max coverage is 30 days per trip
  • Trip does not exceed 51% of the total number of coverage days

Automatic extensions

Coverage will be extended for 72 hours if your trip is prolonged due to one of the following reasons

  • delay beyond your control of the vehicle, airline, bus, train or government operated ferry
  • Medically unfit to return to your country of residence.
  • You are hospitalized due to an emergency on the insurance expiry date.

Policy cancellation/ Refund


  • You may cancel the policy within 10 days of the purchase date for a full refund provided it is before the effective date.

Waiting period

Waiting period applies If you purchase policy after your arrival in Canada
