Manulife Insurance Plans

Manulife insurance offers three medical coverage plans Basic, Standard and Enhanced for visitors to Canada, super visa, work visa, new immigrants and returning Canadians. Basic and Standard plans do not cover pre-existing conditions and Enhanced plan covers pre-existing medical conditions if stable in 180 days prior effective date. Standard and Enhanced plan are more comprehensive as compared to Basic plan. These two plans offers more benefits in terms of follow up visits for medical emergency treatment, dental coverage and accidental death and dismemberment coverage than Basic plan. Following are the key benefits of choosing Manulife insurance plans:

  • Choose coverage from options ranging from $15,000 to $200,000. However for super visa insurance coverage starts from $100,000.
  • 100% refund in case of visa denial. Visa denail letter is required before the insurance start state to process refund.
  • Diverse range of deductibles, from as minimum as $0 to maximum $10,000. Flexibility in choosing the deductible can offer significant reductions in your premiums.
  • Enhanced plan offers coverage for stable pre-existing medical conditions (e.g., BP, heart, diabetes, cholesterol, lung and other conditions).
  • Easy early return refund available even with the claims
  • Up to $25,000 accidental death and dismemberment coverage

Transportation to bedside

If you are travelling alone and hospitalized for 5 or more days then this policy will cover:

  • Up to $3,000 for return economy air fare to bring a friend or family member to your bed side
  • Up to $500 for that person hotel and meals
  • Cover that person under the same emergency medical insurance plan purchased by you until you are fit to travel

Side trip coverage

Side trip coverage is available when you are travelling in any other country, excluding your country of origin provided the side trip starts and ends in Canada and does not exceed the lesser of the following:
  • 30 days per policy
  • 49% of your total number of coverage days as stated on your policy confirmation.
